Taking God out of schools will make Jamaica worse off

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am 12 years old and a proud Christian. Currently, many politicians are behaving as if they are puppets of the devil. This is absolutely disgraceful and unacceptable that anyone is debating the worth of school devotions.

There is so much sadness when we look at the number of school shootings that have happened in America. These have happened because they haven't been living up to the standards established by God.

We are a Christian country. This means we should not be followers of America with their wrongdoings. America has already started to take devotions out of schools and is teaching children different types of ungodly worship. This is why there is so much crime and violence.

Jamaica is already a top country in crime and violence. Taking God out of schools will just make it become something even worse. We have fallen short of the glory of God and we have to put this country in His hands. Nothing is more powerful than the works of God.

This debate should not be spoken of any further!
