JamBar to host 'Bar Beat' breakfast party
Come for the fun, stay for the camaraderie as the Jamaican Bar Association (JamBar) hosts its breakfast edition 'Bar Beat' social event on May 12.
According to Melissa McLeod, chairperson for the Social Affairs Outreach Committee of JamBar, the event, which begins at 6 a.m. at the Annual Gazebo, Hope Gardens, St Andrew, will include a full package of fun-filled entertainment from which proceeds will go towards the association's outreach programmes.
"This is the third renewal of the event, but it's the first time we are having a breakfast staging. It is open to the public, so persons can come and unwind and have a great time," McLeod said.
JamBar celebrates its 45th anniversary this year. It is a voluntary organisation comprised of attorneys-at-law called to the Jamaican Bar.
Pre-sold tickets cost $6,500; the entry fee at the venue is $7,000. McLeod indicated that they are still in need of sponsorship support for the event that promises to be a one-of-a-kind staging in Jamaica.
